A few more days of Friendscation minus some of the friends

Day 7 - Malia and Kelly spend a few more days in San Fran

May 17, 2012
We didn't get our fill of San Fran the first time around, so we planned a couple more days. The first day we pretty much slept our lives a way because Erika had us running ragged the last few days. So this is most of what we saw the first day, the view from the Westin hotel in SoMa.

We ventured out for a very short time to get take-out from the Grove. We had some delicious comfort food and crawled back into bed for the night. Party animals!

Day 8 - Walking ALL over hilly SF

May 18, 2012
The next day we grabbed some picnic food at the local Italian market and then walked the Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf. Then, we ended up at a park under Transamerica Pyramid and enjoyed our Italian picnic.

That's the pyramid where we started our Discover Walk of North Beach and the Barbary coast.

Learned a lot and then took in a view of the city from Telegraph hill.

Nobody mentioned how many steps it would take to get there. Well, maybe they said there was a steep climb but they didn't say there would be 378 steps(or maybe 397). Whatever it was it was a lot!!

Needless to say the rest of the day, we were spent. But we did muster up some energy and go to a French Jazz Bistro. No pictures, no recommendation here. We paid a lot of money for not so great food. The jazz was alright though... We were so so bummed that we wasted a SF meal (and money) on it. So many amazing places to eat, so little time.

Day 9 - The Last Meal

May 19, 2012
Luckily our last meal, we found Osha Thai and had an amazing meal. Our crushed souls from the previous night healed and we said farewell to San Francisco.

Time to go home and sleep for a YEAR! Oh wait, time to go back to work... Can't wait for the next vacation. It's going to be a long 5 days before we leave for Vegas to celebrate Malia and Justin's birthday!
